Beyond the Clouds & Over the Rainbow
These poems were
written over a period of years from the time the author was a
teenager and continuing through her adulthood. They were written
during the good
times and the bad times throughout her life. Alicia became stronger as
she grew in faith and found God. When the clouds come in, she
doesn't ever forget that a rainbow will follow.
"It may seem impossible
to make it through a storm, but you will."
The author hopes her poems
will help others in their troubled times as they have helped her to
get through her own tough times. She also hopes they will provide help in
times of healing.
Sometimes my life turns around
was sad and angry, now I'm happy
Maybe the Lord is helping me, I don't know why
my life has sunshine in it
have a rainbow in my heart
happy for once, I'm cheery
glad to be alive, knowing people care and love me, I understand now
don't need friends who don't like me
hopes and dreams are coming true
a way I'm happy with me, I have taken the first step
I've never been so happy; I'm putting my life back together
feels so good, there a peace in my heart
future has changed, knowing I can love someone
knowing someone loves me.
About the author
Alicia was born
with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and ADHD. Neither of the
diagnoses was made until later in life. She is permanently in
a wheelchair and cannot walk. If it weren't for the proper
medications, she wouldn't be able to move her fingers to be
able to write the poetry for her book. God is given all the
credit and is the reason she has the strength to write and to
live each day of her life.
