She used to think so."

Understanding Faith

By High School Sophomore

Amber Steele

Written and illustrated by a high school student, Understanding Faith delves into the high school dating relationship between Faith and Brad, including all of the accompanying emotions and turmoil. The author takes the reader on a journey about developing faith in yourself.

Parents and grandparents:

Keep your teen safe. This is a book that will give a 'tween, teen or young adult valuable information needed to make smart choices in relationships. Because it is written by a teen, her voice is more likely to be heard by pre-teens and teens than that of an adult. Teens enjoy the story and identify with the main character, Faith.

RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS OF ABUSE

We have added a section in the back of this book to make readers aware of the signs of abuse. It is all too common for someone to be in an abusive relationship, and think that it is "normal." This is especially true if the abuse is mental and emotional, but not physical. There is also information about how to get help and steps to take to get out of an abusive situation.
