Eileen Birin is
a professional writer, editor, and publisher. She holds a
master's degree in Education-English from Loyola University,
Chicago, Illinois. Ms Birin taught language arts at the
junior high lever for thirty-six years, in Dallas, Texas,
Chicago and Skokie, Illinois. Presently she resides in
Glendale, Arizona where she has started her second career as
an independent publisher. Ms Birin is the owner of NEELIE
Publishing, a consultant for new writers and self-publishers,
a reader and storyteller, and a speaker on topics related to
Ms Birin is a
member of the Arizona Book Publishing Association, Arizona
Authors' Association, and The Society of Southwestern Authors.
She is on the Arizona State Board of the American Association
of University Women, actively involved in the Glendale branch
of the same association, and president of Soroptimist
International of the Kachinas.
